Product Overview
Mobilith SHC 100 is a synthetic antiwear and extreme pressure grease combining a PAO synthetic base oil (ISO VG 100) with a premium lithium complex thickener. It is specifically engineered for higher-speed applications — particularly electric motor bearings — where reduced friction, low wear and long service life are the primary requirements. The ISO VG 100 base oil viscosity is matched to the speed requirements of electric motor bearings and other high-speed rolling element bearings where heavier greases would generate excessive heat through churning.
The PAO synthetic base oil delivers a viscosity index of 175, an operating temperature range of -40°C to 150°C and outstanding thermal and oxidation resistance — enabling extended relubrication intervals in electric motors and industrial fans where bearing access is inconvenient and over-greasing is a common cause of motor failure. The lithium complex thickener provides a dropping point of 265°C, structural stability and good water resistance across the full service life.
With a four-ball weld point of 250 kgf and wear scar of 0.5 mm, Mobilith SHC 100 delivers strong EP and antiwear protection despite the lighter base oil viscosity — making it suitable for high-speed bearings operating under moderate radial loads where the combination of speed and load demands both low churning losses and reliable wear protection. Optimised for High-Speed Bearings
ISO VG 100 base oil viscosity is matched to the speed requirements of electric motor bearings and high-speed industrial bearings — providing adequate film thickness without the excessive churning losses that heavier greases (ISO VG 220 or 460) generate at high speeds, which cause heat buildup and premature bearing failure.
Extended Relubrication Intervals
PAO synthetic base oil provides exceptional thermal and oxidation resistance — enabling significantly longer intervals between relubrication than mineral NLGI 2 greases in electric motors and industrial fans. Reduces the risk of over-greasing, which is a leading cause of electric motor bearing failure.
Wide Temperature Range
Operating range of -40°C to 150°C — reliable cold-start lubrication for outdoor electric motors in cold climates or remote locations, combined with high-temperature stability for motors operating in elevated ambient temperatures near furnaces, dryers or processing equipment.
Low Friction & Energy Efficiency
Low traction coefficient of the PAO base oil reduces friction in the load zone of rolling element bearings — with potential for reduced bearing operating temperatures and energy savings. Particularly relevant for large electric motor populations in mining and processing plant operations where motor efficiency directly impacts energy costs.
EP & Antiwear Protection
Four-ball weld point of 250 kgf and wear scar diameter of 0.5 mm confirm strong EP and antiwear performance despite the lighter base oil viscosity — protecting bearing surfaces under the combined radial and axial loads encountered in motor bearings during startup and load changes.
Water & Corrosion Resistance
SKF Emcor 0,0 in distilled water · 0,1 in synthetic seawater. Lithium complex thickener resists water wash-out and emulsification — protecting motor bearings in wet or humid environments such as outdoor installations, pump houses and coastal processing plants where condensation and water ingress are routine.
