The Mobil Rarus range covers air compressor lubrication from standard duty mineral applications through to supreme performance fully synthetic PAO grades for the most demanding continuous-duty and high-temperature compressor installations.
Rarus 800 Series — Supreme Performance Synthetic
Mobil Rarus™ 827
Supreme performance fully synthetic air compressor oil for severe duty reciprocating and rotary screw compressors. Rated for continuous operation with discharge temperatures up to 200°C. Virtual absence of deposit formation versus mineral oils. Extended drain capability.
Mobil Rarus™ 829
Supreme performance fully synthetic ISO VG 150 compressor oil for applications requiring a heavier viscosity grade — large bore compressors, high discharge temperature applications and equipment operating in high ambient temperatures where ISO VG 100 is insufficient.
Mobil Rarus™ 427
High performance mineral-based ISO VG 100 rotary screw and reciprocating air compressor oil. Excellent oxidation resistance, outstanding anti-wear performance and good water separation. The right choice where operating conditions do not require the premium of a synthetic product.
Rarus SHC Series — Premium PAO Synthetic
Mobil Rarus™ SHC 1024
Premium PAO synthetic ISO VG 32 compressor oil for high-speed rotary screw, centrifugal and vane compressors.
Outstanding wide temperature range performance, excellent deposit control and compatibility with a wide range of compressor seal materials.
Mobil Rarus™ SHC 1025
Premium PAO synthetic ISO VG 46 compressor oil — the most commonly specified PAO grade for modern rotary screw compressors.
Excellent deposit control, outstanding thermal stability and significantly longer drain intervals versus mineral oils at the same ISO VG 46 grade.
Mobil Rarus™ SHC 1026
Premium PAO synthetic ISO VG 68 compressor oil for rotary screw, centrifugal and vane compressors specifying a heavier PAO grade — particularly suited to high-ambient-temperature environments and larger compressor installations where the increased viscosity maintains adequate film thickness at peak operating temperature.
Mobil EAL™ Arctic & Gargoyle™ — Refrigeration Compressor Oils
Specialised refrigeration compressor oils engineered for HFC, HFO and ammonia refrigerant systems — from commercial cold stores and HVAC to industrial process refrigeration and food processing.
Mobil EAL™ Arctic 68
Fully synthetic POE (Polyol Ester) refrigeration compressor oil for HFC and HFO refrigerant systems — fully miscible with R-134a, R-410A, R-407C and newer HFO refrigerants. Outstanding lubricity, wear protection and thermal stability. Commercial and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration.
Mobil EAL™ Arctic 100
Fully synthetic POE ISO VG 100 refrigeration compressor oil for larger industrial HFC and HFO refrigeration compressors where a heavier viscosity grade is specified. Industrial food processing, cold storage, blast freezing and large HVAC systems. Full HFC and HFO refrigerant miscibility.
Mobil Gargoyle™ Arctic SHC 226
Premium fully synthetic PAO refrigeration compressor oil for ammonia and hydrocarbon refrigerant systems — cold storage, industrial process cooling and food processing plant operating on NH3 or natural refrigerant systems where POE oils are not compatible.
