Product Overview
Mobilgear SHC 150 is a fully synthetic PAO (polyalphaolefin) industrial gear oil engineered for exceptional performance in enclosed gear drives requiring ISO VG 150 lubrication. Formulated from synthetic base fluids with exceptional oxidation and thermal properties, it delivers outstanding protection against micropitting and scuffing, extended oil life under extreme conditions and superior performance across a wide operating temperature range — capabilities that mineral gear oils at the same viscosity grade cannot match.
High-speed, lightly to moderately loaded enclosed gearboxes where ISO VG 150 is OEM-specified and extreme low-temperature startup or wide temperature range operation is required. Fan and blower drives, agitators, pump gearboxes and light conveyor drives in mining, manufacturing and offshore environments.
The high viscosity index of 176 — compared to 96-97 for Mobilgear 600 XP mineral — means Mobilgear SHC 150 maintains a more stable viscosity across operating temperature changes, providing reliable film protection from cold startup through to elevated operating temperatures without the viscosity thinning that limits mineral gear oil performance in high-temperature applications.
