Outstanding Oxidation Stability

RPVOT 2,500 minutes and TOST 10,000+ hours — outstanding oxidation and thermal stability. Particularly effective in remotely located gearboxes where oil change-out is difficult, filled-for-life drives, and applications where the maintenance cost of oil changes is high.

FZG Stage 13+ & EP Protection

FZG scuffing Stage 13+ and FE8 roller wear of 2 mg — strong protection against gear scuffing and bearing wear under sustained high loads. Particularly valuable in processing plant gearboxes running continuous shifts under elevated torque.

Wide Temperature Range

Viscosity index of 169 and pour point of -48°C — superior to mineral gear oils at this grade. Maintains stable viscosity from cold overnight startups through elevated operating temperatures in high-ambient mining environments, and enables reliable cold-start performance in remote or low-temperature applications.

Gas Compressor Capability

Approved for oil-flooded rotary screw compressors compressing natural gas, field gas, CO2 and other process gases. Allows operations with both gearboxes and gas compressors to consolidate to a single ISO VG 220 synthetic lubricant across equipment types.

Energy Efficiency

Low traction coefficient of the PAO base stock reduces fluid friction in gear contacts and rolling element bearing load zones — up to 3.6% energy efficiency improvement versus mineral equivalents in controlled worm gearbox testing. Efficiency improvements will vary based on operating conditions and application.

Shear Stability & Seal Compatibility

Virtually no viscosity loss under mechanical shear in heavily loaded gear and bearing applications. Generally compatible with most NBR, FKM and other elastomeric seal materials used with mineral oils — however, substantial variations in elastomer response are possible. Consult your equipment supplier or seal manufacturer to verify compatibility before converting a system.
