Mobilgard™ 412 is a high performance SAE 40 marine diesel engine oil developed for trunk piston engines operating on low sulphur distillate fuels or light fuel blends. Formulated with base oils having proven successful performance in diesel engines, with a balanced additive system providing excellent resistance to thermal degradation, superior water separation and excellent corrosion protection. Carries a TBN of 15 mgKOH/g and is approved for use in a range of Caterpillar/MaK, Everllence (formerly MAN Energy Solutions) and Wärtsilä medium-speed engines. Crosshead Engine Crankcase
May be used as a crankcase lubricant in large crosshead type diesel engines operating on high sulphur fuels — separate from the cylinder oil circuit.
